Protect the attention that legal work needs.
Routine intake can be organized without moving legal judgment out of the firm.

Separate first contact from legal judgment.
Prospective clients need a clear way to explain why they are calling and how to reach them. That first record can help a firm respond without treating the intake conversation as legal advice.
Conflict checks, deadlines, accepting a client and advising on a matter remain with the firm's authorized people. An assistant should not imply a lawyer-client relationship or promise an outcome.
Ask only for the information you need.
Choose appropriate initial questions with the firm. A practice area, brief request and callback details may be enough to route the conversation. Decide what sensitive information should wait for the firm's approved process.
A useful handoff also names the responsible team and explains whether an appointment has merely been requested or actually confirmed.
Give your team a clearer starting point.
Jai can collect approved intake details and summarize the request for review. Calendar actions require a supported, tested connection; it does not perform the firm's conflict checks or replace its professional judgment.
Test ordinary inquiries and the exceptions. The standard is a more useful human follow-up, not how much of a legal conversation can be automated.
